Eunice M. Ellis, 87, of 137 Wyoming Rd. died peacefully at her home on August 18, 2011.

Mrs. Ellis was born in Kathleen, Ga.  to the late Arthur and Mary Cain Madison.  She was educated in the Bibb County, Ga. public schools.

Mrs. Ellis was employed with Vanderbilt Shirt Company for 13 years. She had a love for sewing and fashion design. In 1983, she opened Eunique Dress Shop, a dress making and tailoring business, which she successfully operated until December, 2002.

Mrs. Ellis was married for 57 years to Robert E. Ellis who died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister,  Catherine M. Clark of Baltimore, Md. 

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Randall (Glenn) of College Park, Ga; her son, Robert Ellis of Asheville; grandchildren, Shaun and Sherrie Randall of College Park, Ga.; sister,
Ammie McNaulty of Baltimore, Md.; brother-in-law, Fred Clark of Baltimore, Md.;  niece, Gloria M. Scribner (Harry) of Baltimore, Md.; several other nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends. 

The funeral service will be 12 noon, Tuesday, Calvary United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Patricia Bacon officiating. Burial will follow in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.
