My condolences to the family and friends of Larry. For many years Larry's company did work for me at Citizens Home Center on Merrimon Ave. He was one of the most pleasant persons that I have ever known and we all felt as if he were a part of our business family. I know that he must have had that same relationship with many others.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
No one can tell you how to deal with the passing of your loved one. But do it knowing that he is a star in the sky, an angel watching over your every move.
Our family is so sorry for your loss. There are too many connections amongst our families to single out individuals. We will keep you all in our prayers and thoughts and if there is anything we can do... please let us know.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Larry's passing. I've known him, through work, for probably 10 years. He was so humble and caring, and was never in a rush. I enjoyed our conversations over the years. I pray for a peace for his family, that the hope for all who will miss him will be to see him again in heaven. May the Lord bless you all.

My most sincere condolences, and heartfelt sympathy go out to the McAdams Family. I've known Larry since we were first graders at Livingston street elementary school when his family lived on Black street. We've been friends as well as classmates throughout the years. He was always willing to extend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He was truly a nice a guy, and his demeanor reflected it always an even keel never waivering. I was fortunate to see Larry at the Goombay festival on the "block" where we spent some time, and had a nice long chat in August 2011 while I was at home visiting from San Diego California. I am truly going to miss my childhood friend, and classmate. Asheville High Class of 1973

The world has lost a gentle, giant of a man. Larry was one of the most caring, considerate people that I have ever known. He was always willing to help anyone that he could, giving people second chances, but expecting the best from that person. I had the wonderful opportunity to work along side Larry since 1995 as the Buncombe County representative. He also became a treasured friend. I learned about his family as he did mine and we wept together many times through our heartaches. He would always laugh and say that we were destined to meet since we had many similiar stores and family ties. His Daddy worked beside my brother Stan's store in Biltmore, his brother graduated Highway Patrol School with my brother Neil, and we both lost someone so dear to our hearts with Pancreatic Cancer, my Mother and his wife. He was so respected and will be so missed in his "community" (as he called it), and especially at the Buncombe County Courthouse. I was so saddened to learn of his passing. Although I know he will be missed by so many friends and family, I also know he is at peace now, and with his beloved Darlene, Mother and Daddy that he missed so much. My family is fortunate to have been selected to be one of his friends, and will always have a special place in our hearts. Larry McAdams truly made this world a better place!!!
