Lawrence Ottis Scott, 84 of 322 Montford Ave. died, Monday, January 23, 2012.

Lawrence was a native of Asheville and a son of the late Benjamin and Ruth Bomar Scott.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Hope Scott and daughter, Angela Scott of Neptune, NJ; sister, Mary Douglas of Detroit, Mich; niece, Dorothy Black and cousin, Dollie Coxton of Asheville; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

A memorial Service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Min. James Grant officiating.
